86 901 & 902 Stand at a Foggy York station after a night time run to Peterborough and back to clear the ice from the overhead wire. Sadly as can be seen the Graffiti idiots had got to them a couple of days before.
I had just stabled them there after a run to Peterborough during the night just to wipe the ice from the wire,. It was like someone welding on the roof with all the arcing! I was sure the Pantograph wound be destroyed !
Wow! Thats incredible thanks for the link!. The view from inside the train was similar to what it was like! Its like a strobe effect for the driver as you see snap shots of the route ahead!
It's a shame some people feel the need to make a mess of things in order to amuse themselves. I wouldn't call this graffiti though. This is defacing. Proper graffiti has at least some artistic merit.
I agree. The fact that they threw white paint over the bogey and front end of the nearest loco shows it was just for vandalism. The thing that gets me is that it makes proper graffiti artists look bad, ruins the outward appearance of the locomotive/rolling stock or whatever and generally makes people miserable.
