Thanks!, This is a private steam railway in Yorkshire, about 50 km from where I live.  This was christmas day as I took the dog for a walk in the forest!

Hey, I couldn't help but see this picture when I came in on deviant-art. I admire it a lot, so much so I did some color re-balancing to it to bring out the vivid colors of this fine photo if you care to see it. :)

Great Shot, I created a old railway ghost story in Photoshop, It's from a book called Shadows In The Steam. Here's the link: kenai22.deviantart.com/art/The…

Did you ever drive over the crossing at night?, It does look like an eerie place even if you don't see anything. I didn't know there used to be a ballast tip, Wow. I plan to visit Connington too after dark, I might see the car myself...., I've read that story about 55020 Nimbus, The Ghost Deltic, very spooky

Yes I drove through there nearly every day fo thirty years!
If we are talking about the same connington. about 15 miles south of Peterborogh on the East coast main live there is no longer a crossing and not much to see.

Ah, Holme yes that's still there. The place we call Connington is 4 mile further south if you look at Google earth the tip location is the grey area at the lineside.
